CocoConvert uses qpdf to apply encryption at the PDF specification level — compatible with all major PDF readers including Adobe Acrobat, Preview, Chrome, and Firefox.
This tool is essential for sharing confidential contracts, financial statements, medical records, or any document that should only be accessible to authorised recipients. The encryption is permanent — the password becomes a required key to open the file.
The password you enter is processed entirely server-side and never logged, stored, or transmitted beyond the processing session. Please remember your password — we cannot recover it for you.
All files are processed on secure servers in Germany, encrypted in transit via TLS, and permanently deleted within 24 hours.
