Trim Video Online — Cut Clips Instantly

Cut a video to a specific time range.

About Trim Video

Cut your videos to the exact segment you need. Enter start and end timestamps and CocoConvert extracts the clip — keeping the opening presentation hook, removing the awkward pause, or isolating the key moment from a long recording.

When possible, CocoConvert uses stream-copy mode (-c copy) for near-instant trimming without re-encoding. This means your video quality remains bit-for-bit identical to the original. For precise frame-accurate trimming, the engine automatically switches to re-encoding mode.

Supports all major video formats: MP4, AVI, MOV, MKV, WebM, FLV, WMV, and M4V. The output file is in the same format as your input, so there is no format surprise.

Processing happens on dedicated Hetzner CAX servers in Germany with FFmpeg — the same engine used by Netflix and YouTube. Files are encrypted in transit and deleted within 24 hours.

Frequently Asked Questions

Does trimming reduce video quality?

What timestamp format should I use?

You can use HH:MM:SS (e.g., 00:01:30) or plain seconds (e.g., 90). Both formats are accepted.

Is there a file size limit?

Starter users can trim videos up to 250 MB. Pro users get up to 5 GB per file, and Business API users get 10 GB.
